Maybe you can run a UV-Vis analysis in order to measure the concentration of your emulsion before and after adding your reduced graphene oxide, I think that could be an easy way to do it.

I have tried with Fluorescence, the problem was that the presence o rGO in the solution does not let the light intensity to be fully adsorbed by the emulsion. I am not sure how UV-vis operate though. The problem is i can not separate rGO from my non-adsorbed emulsion.

measuring adsorption of an emulsion is not defined.

Adsorption is enrichment of a compound at a surface. Emulsion is a bi-phase system.

Is your 'ionic liquid in water emulsion' ionic liquid droplets stabilized by the ionic liquid itself?

In this case you may separately determine adsorption of ionic liquid without having undissolved ionic liquid.

You should be able to measure ionic liquid equilibrium concentration in aqueous phase up to micellar or saturation concentration (if no micelles are formed) using surfactant sensitive electrodes.

Hi Dr. Sobisch, Thanks for your response. My IL is stabilized using non-ionic pluronic surfactant. Would it be possible to introduce a publication which did something similar to what you described?
