Hi,

I modeled unidirectional CFRP cutting process in ABAQUS using Hashin failure criteria. Unfortunately, many researchers did not report the used fracture energies in their model. I found different amounts for these parameters in some papers. But I don't know which one is more appropriate to use for cutting model

I would appreciate it if you could reply my question.

Thank you

Hashin damage -> Damage Evolution (the used unit in my model in mm, Mpa,...)

I found these failure energies in other researches:

- Rentsch 2011: GLT 0.01 , GLC 0.005, GTT 0.0009, GTC 0.006 (without unit!)

- Soldani 2010: 105 J/m2, (fiber tension); 200 J/m2 (fiber compression), 300 J/m2 (matrix cracking) and 600 J/m2 (matrix crushing)

-Camanho 2007 : fiber tension 81.5 KJ/m2, fiber compression 106.5 KJ/m2, matrix tension  0.2774 KJ/m2, matrix compression 5.62 KJ/m2

Coelho 2015 : G1Tc (N/mm), 89.8 G1Cc (N/mm), 78.3 G2Tc (N/mm) 0.23, G2Cc (N/mm) 0.76

phadnis 2012:  Gft,c 12.5 [N/mm],  Gfc,c 12.5 [N/mm],  Gmt,c  1 [N/mm] Gmc,c 1 [N/mm]

Shi 2012: fracture toughness (kJ/m2) : GT1C 91:6, GC1C  79:9, GT2C 0:22,  GC2C 1:1
