I am looking for a protein in plants (Arabidopsis in my case) that remain unchanged in different conditions or treatments to use as a reference pr in SDS PAGE.
Similar to real time PCR, that we normally use a reference gene, can you please introduce a reference Pr by which I can compare between concentration of samples in a gel pic of SDS PAGE?

Hi Zahra, how did you get your protein? is it purified ? why couldn't measure your protein concentration?
Rubisco produces a strong bands that can be compared across samples if the tissue of origin is the same. For instance if you are comparing the expression of a protein in leaves from 10 different plants. If you are comparing between tissues however I have no knowledge of a marker that remains stable. Rubisco band is very easy to identify, its the hyperstrong band at 55ish kD.

Are you sure that Rubisco remain unchanged under different conditions?I searched and find some articles showing different expression of rubisco under different treatments.
