Does anyone know a good release layer to float a-Si thin films from c-Si?

I have had good results lifting off using a PSS release layer EXCEPT that the roughness of PSS after spin-coating is affecting my a-Si.

Can anyone suggest another water soluble release layer to try or an alternative method for film transfer?
