One of the examples mentioned in the Wiki page involves the history of the Northern Elephant Seal. There are a number of papers that detail that example. The figure that you are imagining might be found there.
Another mammal - the Black-footed Ferret - has had an equally precarious history...not yet through the bottleneck. Look that one up and there will be some useful stuff.

Bottleneck effect one of process which causes genetic drift that changes gene frequency in the population in a method that we can predict the amount of change but not the direction ( increase or reduce the frequency ), this case appear after disasters event occur in the population.

Ernst Mayr (1963) in his Animal Species and Evolution book, commented by William Provine (2004) shows a good diagram of a “genetic revolution.” A population goes through a bottleneck, by which the variability is greatly reduced. Then through further increases of homozygosity a genetic revolution occurs, after which the population again regains variability with a new genetic structure
