I'm looking for a certain index/value of the number of eggs oviposited within a set period per fly. Or simply the developmental data. I've looked extensively but can't seem to find it. Does this exist? Obviously it is temperature-dependent but there should be data for this to inform minimum post-mortem interval estimations surely? I was thinking that in October indoors, an example could be 30 eggs per day?
Sorry for the excess of questions. I am looking to use this as an adjustment and in order to increase the resolution of my results.

Like Meaghan, I've never seen anything done on this. There's limited info in developmental thresholds to start with, let alone how this affects oviposition rates.

If you don’t found this data in scientific literature of England, maybe you should contact others forensic lab close to your area of interest. I think of Damien Charabidze, a forensic entomologist who developed the ForenSeek Software, based on local entomological studies in Lille, France (same latitude than southern England and sharing same climatic conditions). The University of Gembloux, Belgium, worked on Calliphoridae too.
I'd just like to add my two cents to this discussion: the number of eggs laid during a period depends of a combination of the fecundity and the presence of active gravid females. Both parameters depend of temperature, but the latter varies a lot with sunshine insolation. So if your goal is to apply this kind of index in the field, don’t forget to take account of it.
