Thanks a lot Birger. I am thinking to use CD31 to discriminate resident from migratory endothelial cells. vWF to discriminate endothelial cells from pericytes. And finally PDGFR-B to verify presence of peicytes. I look at bone and cartilage regeneration and unfortunately too many other cells present are aSMA+.
For endothelial cells CD34 and VE-cadherin antibodies (BD Biosciences, Abcam, R&D systems) could be also useful. These are certainly not expressed in pericytes.
