I wonder if anyone has experience in surface investigations with this device?
As I mostly deal with corrosion tests of various metals and alloys, I wonder if it can be used for the purpose of examining the topography of the corroded surface.

Do you know what the price of this AFM is? I am also interested to know about its user experiences.
I think that this device is under 10000 dollars. As I focused on corrosion examination I would like to know if this device is applicable to these investigations. It also confuses me that there is very little information about the device itself. I have been sent some corroded samples of different metals to ICSPI but never got feedback from them.

Dear Sayed, Thank you for the links. By clicking on 2 of them I got the answer: We couldn't find the page you were looking for. But I will found it via Web of science portal. One thing bothers me: what is the surface roughness limit that the device can measure. Corrosion processes create a significant surface roughness, I’m not sure if this device can measure that. Perhaps its purpose is to measure very smooth surfaces where the surface roughness is low.@

As of writing, the nGauge AFM has a 1 nm rms noise floor and a maximum Z-range of 10 um. Therefore, the nGauge is suitable for measuring surface roughness in the range of 10 nm to about 4 um.
