Does anyone have experience with Antibodies from Acris?
I am about to order a bunch of new antibodies and was looking for alternatives to Abcam, as those are quite expensive..does anyone now whether the antibodies from Acris are any good?

I have only used an HIV-1 p120-specific antibody from Acris, but I never had a reason to complain. It was working excellently in Western blot. Even when the diluted antibody was used several times with intermittent freezing.
Neither of these distributors makes all ABs themselves. So simply give them a try. I'd be cautious to freeze them (as Michael suggested, it may work or not). Better aliquot the ABs and flash freeze them in liquid nitrogen and store them at -80°C or colder or dilute to 50%glycerol and store at -20°C. In the case of diluted working solutions for WB, use a stabilizer (eg 1% m/v BSA in PBST) and a preservative (e.g. 0.1% m/v NaN3) and store in the fridge for re-use until exhausted.

I'm using an anti-mouse CD8a-biotin antibody from Acris and never had problems.
About cheaper alternatives, have you had a look at BioLegends portfolio?
Depending on your field of research, they may have 'decent' alternatives.Also, for some antibodies they can send you small aliquots for testing (as does ebioscience) if available.
If you're planning on ordering more frequently or know other researchers in your institute that order from them, too, it never hurts to try and negotiate a discount deal (e.g. 20% of list price) for a larger group of customers (i.e. your institute) that will save you quite some money in the long run.
Just for clarification: I did not suggest to freeze antibodies. I only wanted to point out how robust this specific antibody was. And we only freeze/thawed our working dilution for Western blotting prepared in PBS-T + 2% skimmed milk powder.
