Mr. Palizdar, probiotics are supplemented in the diet of broilers because of probiotics ability to serve as a natural alternative to antibiotics with the assumption of improving FCR (feed to gain) similar to antibiotics use and also their ability to improve the good bugs in the gut helping them develop better innate immunity. The flock density to use depends on the breed, housing system and other management aspects you practice and I believe should not be specific to probiotic use. If you are planning to do probiotic supplementation trial, i recommend to follow the the breeding company manual and decide on the flock density to use.
there is no direct relation between flock density and feed supplemented probiotic, the density depends on breed types ,season, , age you raise ,period and temperature and humidity of climate of chicken house, although probiotic increase the resistance to unfavorable conditions
Density is calculated on the basis of bird live weight and the floor space available to the birds in the shed. The density of flock depends on the housing system, age and other aspects. Under commercial rearing conditions birds are exposed to more stressful situations like transportation, vaccination, high flock density, and heat stress. Moreover, the overcrowding is a stress factor. Probiotic is biological preparation which has positive effect on health by improvement of immune response and reduce stress on the birds.
