I am trying to isolate cardiomyocyte cells without using the langendorff. If you have any suggestions or a method you have used that has worked that would be greatly appreciated if you could share that with me.
Take a look at this link. I previously attempted to isolate adult mice cardiomyocytes without lagendorff but i wasn't successful. I hope this link will help.
You may try the protocols used for bigger (canine, human) hearts (e.g, Voigt et al, 2013), but, believe me, using coronary perfusion gives much better results.
I have also heard of mechanical dissociation (McDonald et al, 1998) may work, but I never tried this one.
