I am looking for seats (by party) for Ecuador and Peru for 1900-1945 (I have the data for post-1940s) for a project I'm working on. So far I've been unable to find anything other than election results (votes). Thanks.
I realize that parties were mostly meaningless and chaotic (or "inchoate") during that period. But I still want to compare with the data I have from Bolivia and other countries in South America.
I am compiling a large dataset that I will then share with anyone interested.

I only know post-1979-data for Ecuador (like: http://americo.usal.es/oir/legislatina/ecuador.htm). Maybe Rafael Quintero and his "Electores contra Partidos" could be helpful for you - it does not have a list of electoral results (well, for 2002 it does) but an exhaustive list of all political parties created between 1925 and 2002.
I have all the post 1979 data. I'm look for data (and seats data, not votes) for the earlier period. I want to calculate basic measures like effective number of parties for the 20th century.
Miguel, I do not have these data, but I really like this topic. When you can share, I'll be very grateful. I'm working on the strength of opposition in consociational and majoritarian democracies, and, because of that, it will really helpfull.

Gracias, Diego. No necesito las leyes. Lo que si necesito es la lista de diputados por los años antes de 1978. Bueno, en verdad solo el numero de diputados de cada partido (e.g. cuantos de APRA, AP, etc).
