I am looking to see if my mice have short filamentous bacteria (SFB). I have primers from a paper but the preparation of the tissue in the paper uses all sorts of bead disruption. Does anyone have any methods that uses vortexing to disrupt the tissue? And then can I use a kit to isolate DNA or should I stick to phenol- chloroform extraction?
