I am looking to ideally fix E. coli to a slide, stain with an anti-his or anti-flag type antibody, follow with a fluorescent secondary and image. Does anyone have an established protocol? -Thanks-

Alternatively, this article by Jose et al. has a nice and simpler staining protocol for bacteria cells, although you mihgt need to add a permeabilization step if looking for intracellular proteins.
