PFC3D is a simulation software for particle transport. F.e. if you want to simulate broken particles out of the cutting zone. You can try to simulate the block of marble with the bond model which is implemented. The problem in this is, that it will be very difficult to find the correct strenght for these bonds, which lead to realistic cutting simulation. I'm pretty sure that you can only simulate a microscopic part of the cutting process.

If you want to simulate the tribosystem, your Problem is maybe more am problem you can solve with a multibody simulation with Software like DYMOLA.

If you want to simulate the cutting process itself, you should use FEM.
