I have been working and gathering data about this topic related to water quality parameters like DO, TDS, pH, Salnity etc. for 12 months in one watershed. I came across very few studies on this subject. So, please contribute and expand to this subject with your comments...

I suggest that you type, in google, names of power plants/dams/rivers, that you are interested to learn about and it will give you whatever you need for your studies/project.
In the research that is mentioned above, by Mark, of Sigel A, you won't find what you are looking for.
I, personally, support giving students the raw material, so they can work on and establish their own ideas. I refuse/don't support to help students with ready tailored projects. It is better for you, for the future to come, that you become independant so you don't need any assistance.

We are conducting a research project in related field at the moment, emphasizing Micro Hydro power plants. It should be noted that, this kind of power plants usually classify in the green energy categories and has not environmental effects.
The results would be published as soon as possible.
Reports about water quality after flooding for hydroelectric power generation may not become public or maybe are produced, but are suppressed / hidden from the public. You should be suspicious of mercury contamination in the water which will pass on to fish and humans if they eat the fish. If vegetation/forest was present before the flooding, then there will be emissions of carbon dioxide and methane, so it will not be a "green" energy operation.
