I'm trying to find some test to asses knee stability different to Star Excursion Balance Test. I'm interested in any test which can be proved with athletes who have been undergone to a ACL operation and can be performed at field.
There are several physical exam maneuvers that may be indicative of knee instability. Some of the more common tests and the pathologies they test for are as follows:
Lachman, anterior drawer and pivot-shift tests: anterior cruciate ligament tear
Knee valgus and varus stressing: medial and lateral (respectively) collateral ligament tears
The following papers maybe help you to find a test of knee stability.

Matthias Keller an Oliver Schmidtlein from OS Institut in Munich, Germany, invented a return-to-activity algorithm which focus on four levels of activities both in sports and daily life. The included tests (Y-Balance-Test, Front-Hop-Test, Side-Hop-Test and Square Hop Test) are perfect to use for team sports - also at field.
