Does anybody had issue regarding background signals in fluorescence proximity ligation assay in mouse brain?

I used the Duo-Link proximity ligation assay kit from Sigma on mouse brain tissue sections. The assay gives several tiny dots-like signals even in the control sections. Is anybody having a similar issue? Any suggestions about getting rid of them?
