Sb2S3 has a bandgap of 1.7 eV approximately (after annealing). I need to increase this value. 1.9-2.0 is my target, and I'm considering to use dopant or allying with otehr metallic elements.
I think if you dope Cd with your material, you may get it with optimized condition. but the thing is that Cd will dominate the Sb. so we can say like Sb doped CdS instead of Cd doped Sb2S3. so better you play with your Sb2S3 particle size because if you decrease the particle size band gap energy of your material increases.
Thanks all. As far as I searched alloying with As also can increase band gap. Cd and Zn alloying also good idea I think, but electronics with Cd cannot be sold in EU market anymore. Do you have any idea guys for doping Zn into Sb2S3 which fabricated in SbCl2 and Na2S2O3 solution? Zinc chloride might can be used?
