Before either using an existing questionnaire or producing their own questionnaire, your students need to be clear about what kind of individual differences they are referring to: girl/boy; serious learning difficulties/ minor learning difficulties, etc. Once this is established, a decision must be made on what kind of research instrument (s) is/are going to be used: fixed response questionnaire; semi-structured questionnaire; mixture of both etc. Best wishes, Paul
I think that you can use a test of multiple intelligence to know the characteristic of these group of students. In this case you will obtain a clasification of yours studentes.
I use one of this kind of instruments in my experience as teacher to know indivdual differences between two groups of Ingenier students.
Later we obtained a clasification of them, that the teachers can use in attention to tehir individual differences.
I did look at accommodating cultural differences in the classroom in my research, which can give some insight into your question, but from a cultural perspective. I hope you find it useful.
Best regards,
Debra

My students are undergraduate students and they have to write a short research paper. They need to know the individual differences between girl and boys in teachers perspective. Also, they want to use quantitative research method.
