Of course, Abaqus has two different parallel computing features. It can use more CPUs (cores) or GPUs ( if you have the proper license for GPGPU acceleration). You will be able to activate it by the CAE. When you create a job, right click, and edit. Then go on the Parallelization menu. Here you can select all the parameters necessary to run your job in parallel. You will find a lot of information in the Abaqus Manual. You must remember anyway that for parallel use you will need the proper license, and each processor used will take you 3 tokens.
1 Standard job (single processor) 5 Token
1 Standard job (2 processor) 5 Token +3 extra = 8 Token in total
hi my question is what does the number in front of the gpu indicate?is it about num of cuda cores(i.e. 360) or its just number of different gpus paired with SLI technology(i.e. 2 or 3)?
I have read all abaqus manuals but no clue about what it is.
