The effort to generate underwater 3D maps using photogrammetry has increased over the last years. It is now able to produce high resolution models. We are currently working on a method to create georeferenced 3D maps. The next step would be to analyse these maps of marine seascapes. My first though is a landscape approach since tools already exist for land analyses. Do you know if such methods already exist?

Thank you very much Firoz Ahmad and Reuben Reyes for these valuable references on the methods to generate 3D models and calibrate underwater cameras. It helps us to deal with some issues of the underwater photogrammetry.
I would like to some precision concerning my initial question. The aim of geolocalized photogrammetry is to generate 3D maps. Obviously (at least in my mind), the next step in an ecological purpose is to analyse these maps in order to extract structural and biological data on the landscape mapped (in my case the seascape). How can we extract these data ?
The resulting data from the photogrammetry is a 3D point cloud. This point cloud can be used to measure or extract 3D structures. To increase precision and accuracy added control points will help. The software for viewing and processing point clouds used were Agisoft PhotoScan, MeshLab, ParaView, CloudCompare, and LAStools. The point clouds can also be converted into DEMs that can then be used for analysis in ArcGIS or any GIS software. Hope this helps.
Thanks Reuben Reyes for your precisions concerning the process for photogrammetry. I think that I didn't express my question very well. I'm thinking of analyzing the point cloud generated by SFM software. i'm looking for solutions to analyze the objects build from the point cloud which has thus geometrical properties such as surfaces and volumes. We are able to perform analyses from 2D maps of marine habitats. Is it possible to extract some landscape (seascape in this case) data or the values of some metrics from 3D objects?
You can measure volumes and other 3D objects (ec. 3d areas, volumes, seascape parameters) using ArcScene software once you have convert the data in a DSM. Similar approach as in landscape analysis.
