Does the increasing resolution of marine habitats' maps and the data collected on marine species' distribution allow to produce some real seascape ecology analysis, i.e. linking structure and function at a large spatial scale?

Could it be possible to use the tools recently developed in landscape ecology, e.g. landscape graphs, and apply it to marine habitats?

Could it be the opportunity to develop new conservation tools intuitively comprehensible for managers ?
