Is 10 percent lox spray used for procedures like grommet insertion or intratympanic injection etc ? I have used it for anaesthesia while giving intra tympanic steroid injections and found it effective. Can anyone please explain how it acts on intact tympanic membrane ?
I ve used lidocaine hydrochloride 25 mg + prilocaine 25 mg. Very good results.

With intact tympanic membrane it is nearly of no value, but with injured tympanic membrane , and in the presence of drum perforations, it works good anaesthizing middle ear mucosa.using nerve block for auriculotemporal nerve and postauricular n is much more efficient than spray and surface anaesthesia
