The quantum vacuum is in all physics fields, for example, we have: - QCD vacuum - QED Vacuum - False vacuum decay - Vacuum permeability, permittivity and polarization - Vacuum zero state - Vacuum fluctuations - Some talk about the vacuum to explain cosmic inflation, subatomic particles speed, its energy, bla, bla... You can add more vacuums!
It's not a force, it's a reference point. Quantum Vacuum is the reference energy with respect to which you calculate energies in the Schrödinger equation. I'm not deep into QED, but with my level of understanding it's the same for QED vacuum. Vacuum permeabilites are the threshold values for the case that actually no matter interacts with the field.
It should be able to change the particles state, working as a quantum harmonic oscillators (if the vacuum can, then it should be). Anyway the answers have been a been estrange, I guess... Look Reddit
