It’s a controversial question Dr. Anil. those persons who have qualified NET, they said net is must but those who not qualified NET yet they said net is not compulsory because they did Ph.D. If NET exam is conducted in whole country for all subjects ( few subjects is not in NET yet) then NET is must for all. It’s just a eligibility test. you read your subject at master and doctoral level then there is no problem in clearing the NET exam.
