Dear Dr Tanvir Singh. I think that, it is essential to increase the people's awareness both toward the dangers and consequences of Covid-19, and also the vital importance of the commitment to all preventive and precautionary measures against Covid-19 especially wearing a face mask and physical distancing.
Totally agree with dr. Salman Ajlan 🌹 we've to increase people's awareness via videos, posters or even an specialist doctor interviews !! Doing so is so important to survive from such a horrible virus!
I agreed with you both Diana A. Ali and Salman Ajlan, that awareness among the peoples is very important. But as we see this pandemic has started as long months back, the government of almost all the countries around the globe has imposed rules and regulations related to safety guidelines, and much awareness. But still, the peoples thought that wearing a mask is not essential as everything is sought as no media channels have shown the news regarding the new variant of Coronavirus. In such cases, the spreading of this virus is countless and even more dangerous than before. Now the scenario is like that if people themselves get infected then only they realize that this pandemic is still surviving, otherwise they are free from their mind that something is going on.
If I look at the mass I will never act. If I look at the one, I will." These are the words of a woman whose acts of charity and kindness earned her sainthood – Mother Teresa.
Definitely, because some of them were careless since the begining of the first wave cause of their disbelief in this virus so they behaved in a careless risky manner.
while there r other ppl who were cautious since the first wave but got bored and irritated due to the required precautions such as wearing masks for examples, which lead them to lower their prevatious protective methods which could be regarded as a careless action
Absolutely! I see it here in my city daily... there is the “covid fatigue” following 9 months of restrictions/lockdown and then there is pure ignorance. People have an “I dont care attitude” which makes them more careless. Really worrying, because it is so difficult to face thid second wave with all this carelessness going around...
Yes u are right but peoples not kept them in isolation now they have to earn money for their family and no support of them this is reality sorry to say but this is true
Dear Tanvir Singh You are right. People are perhaps fed up with covid-19. carelessness is their spontaneous reaction, which cannot be considered a right approach.
Yes, people are more careless and as well as fearless. Especially marginal peoples are more frustrated due to they don't get the opportunity to fulfill their basic needs (Food).
This is a very important topic for a discussion under the circumstances.
I remember reading a Bengali poetry long ago. I have forgotten the name of the poetry and the poet. But I remember one thing about it. In one of the stanzas, the poet wrote that our eyes are responsible for limiting our vision. We can see only those things that can be seen. We cannot see those things that cannot be seen. Most people around us have not seen the danger from the new variant of COVID-19. So they are ignorant about it. The proposition involved with the topic of this discussion is absolutely correct and I agree with it.
Dear Arbind K. Choudhary As I believe that due to this pandemic, it improves our habits a lot, like before we are not very much bother about washing the hand while came back from outside, and even vegetables we cook, we can only wash them only at the time of cooking not before with proper method of washing. In a polluted environment, we do not bother to cover our face with a handkerchief or by a mask.
If still people are not adopting the good things in their life, and keep on blaming this COVID-19 for restricting their so-called freedom, then I am pretty sure that they never learn about this in the future also.
Dear Nityananda Das, I partially agree with you, as far as the precautions are concerned, even I see most of the educated persons are very much careless than those who are illiterate and don't know anything about this virus.
Secondly, why there is a need to believe in so-called paid media, we have to use our sense of sensibility that if the worst scenario has happened in developed countries during this pandemic, then how can we expect such a nice vaccine in few months, it is totally impossible. What exactly we have in our hands to protect ourselves from this pandemic is proper precautions, which includes
1. Wash hands frequently.
2. Use a sensitizer when water is not readily available while going outside.
3. Whatever buy from the market, first sanitize it before use.
You raised an important point. Some people might refuse to believe the facts,, so we must be alert and cautious all the time:

Yes, we have thought this. Because of the time of year (winter) and the greater danger of the new variant, we have been even more cautious and careful.
But I think people, especially if they have not known anyone with COVID-19, think 'it won't happen to us'.
COVID fatigue has caused people to not follow precautionary guidelines, increasing their risk of catching the virus. Many people are tired of the lockdowns, restrictions, and not having a normal routine. Higher levels of alcohol and drug use also contribute to the feeling of tiredness. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandemic_fatigue
Without any specific end in sight, many people are just tired of Covid-19 lockdown, restrictions, and protocols. Many are no longer afraid of Covid-19, especially when they feel that they are not vulnerable to its severity or see that the recovery rates are high. It is called Covid-19 fatigue
Whether people are more cautious or careless during the 2nd, 3rd or subsequent wave of the pandemic depends on how the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) Coronavirus pandemic developed in a specific community and culture during previous pandemic waves, what the health effects were whether anti-pandemic safety management systems and crisis management systems were improved, how these processes were presented in the media, what is the level of intergenerational solidarity in society, etc.
I live in the UK and we are having a lockdown at the moment. People seem to vary greatly how careful they are being. We are trying not to go out, doing our weekly shop early in the morning, midweek, so that the shops are quiet and carrying out all the advice we have been given. We hope that we will stay well. The vaccination will come to us sometime, hopefully!
Other people seem to vary tremendously. When I was walking along a narrow strip on pavement (out doors), a lady waited until I got to the broader path; she was smiling and told me not to hurry. But another, in the same area, walked straight down the middle of the path. I went to one side and faced away from her as she passed me. No-one was masked, as it was in the open air, but had she coughed in my face . . . But she didn't.
Dear Dr. Tanvir Singh , I think it depends - on the place/country. In India, the COVID-19 peaked out (just one wave). The new infections are lesser day by day. This has made people to think that they are out of danger. Another important point to this careless behaviour is availability of vaccine in India. Many also think that they have already been exposed to covid-19 (meaning herd immunity). Thats why, I think, people are not worried about it...warm regards Yoganandan
