Great question. One research methodology that you want to consider (if you have not done s already) is the Delphi. By employing a Delphi study you can approach put together a group of experts and have them iterate through the inquiries. This type of question is often approached through this kind of research since it requires answers from highly qualified folks.

Just you have to improve the welfare and hence everything would be going correctly, perhaps you have to do some experiments regarding welfare in terms o, mainly, behaviour and pain with stress in farm animals
