Maxwell unified all electric and magnetic phenomena in a single paradigm. He amended Ampere's equation to obtain a consistent set of equations that is compatible with all laws of physics. Hertz realized that light is an electromagnetic transverse wave. However, Tesla had found a longitudinal wave experimentally. His discovery was met with ignorance, since Maxwell equations cannot predict this kind of wave. Should we revise it today and accommodate a longitudinal wave, so that that part of knowledge and application can be part of our physical reality and try to avail it?
