Our experience has shown that many inventions/innovations have resulted in unforeseen and negative consequences. Thus, in order not to create Frankenstein's one should be extremely careful when it comes to human cloning. Scientists should get excellent first hand information first by cloning a variety of animals prior to even thinking of human cloning. Many ethics experts would certainly object to this and for good reason. This would open up a whole can of worms arising from discussions of eugenics and Mengele's work.

We cannot feed humans living now and longer lifetimes are anticipated, if not now, in the near future for those alive now.
