With proper evaluation of any accompanying side effects to ensure their minimisation, I absolutely agree that nanotechnology be used to enhance human performance
The benefits of nanotechnology include improved manufacturing methods, water purification systems, power networks, physical health enhancement, nanoscale medicine, improved food production and nutrition methods, and automotive infrastructure. Products made with nanotechnology may require little work, or maintenance, and are highly productive, low in cost, and have modest requirements for materials and energy.
YES! Heraclitus was right: everything flows, nothing stands still. Change, or the potential of change, define materials science and nanotechnology. So the question is: how much human performance change lied to nanotechnology can be SUSTAINED without creating tension?
