My parents, teachers advised me not to think much. Without thinking I cant eat, drink even sleep. Much of thinking about God's existence, spirituality, logic and science.
Great question. Perhaps one way to differentiate thinking is as being reactive or proactive.
So sure, I think everyone "likes" thinking. But for example, if I'm sitting in public transportation, with nothing else to do, do I prefer "reactive thinking," such as playing a video game, or "proactive thinking," such as trying to figure out what I left undone at the office?
My belief is that minds find it impossible to be idle. My personal preference is "proactive" thinking. I much prefer to try to puzzle through what needs to be done, or just some new idea I had for a new project, than to be reacting to a video game. For that matter, any kind of game. I really enjoy being steeped in thought, while on a long walk, for instance.
My wife loves games. I find them "a waste of time." Because they distract me from what I want to be thinking about. My daughter also dislikes games. She claims that it's "my fault," that she does.
Whenever we read something or we see something then thinking start automatically, since it's a natural process. Our brain starts reacting to the outside stimulation. So thinking gives us the required solution and answer to all of our problems and queries.
Everyone has thinking process in his/her brain and It never stops. We must have constructive and positive thinking and should avoid over thinking.
sure thinking helps us to solve problem, predict about the situation, present reasons to defend our point of view and other functions as well. Without thinking man is incomplete.
Yes, the question should not be if we like or dislike thinking. It is rather a biological process that we do not have much of influence on. I believe the way we think changes as a consequence of a long-term endeavors we do carry out (e.g. education, reading etc.). We basically build up our own system of thinking completely on our own - therefore each and every of us perceive and understands things differently.
As for the future of our planet. We do consider ourselves (human kind) as a superior and highly intellectual. However, by each passing day we do push our planet to the edge a bit closer. How intelligent and long-term is that? We do not have Planet B - as would Macrone say.
If we consider the hierarchy of our body, the brain is at the top and well protected. So I see thinking as the main activity of human and maybe the only difference between people and animals. I consider that animals following their instinct even if they look intelligent in some of their behavior. However, with material life, some people seem to be walking on their hands. Researchers need mainly creative thinking to find original ideas and engineers need more critical thinking to solve technical problems. Positive thinking is necessary to find happiness in life.
Thinking allows humans to make sense or, interpret, represent or model the world they experience, and to make predictions about that world. It is therefore helpful to an organism with needs, objectives, and desires as it makes plans or otherwise attempts to accomplish those goals.
Yes,I love to think, even it is my favourite pass time. Though I don't over think about something. I don't allow anything to spoil my present moment and waste my time. I only think about those things which help me in enhancing knowledge. I always keep searching to gain something in every possible way.
From childhood I love to analyse this beautiful world so I have been observing every thing around me from childhood. I observe others pain, happiness everything. Others not only includes individuals it includes all creatures. This thinking has also helped me in better understanding this world.
When I am alone best ideas and thoughts knock the door of my mind, that's why I prefer to be alone. I always manage at least one hour for me to spend with myself in my realm, no matter what busy schedule I have. Silently something in my mind always keep going. I consider thinking as the best way to sharpen my mind So I consider myself as a silent observer and some of my friends address me as deep thinker too. I also love those names;-)
I try to do only the bare minimum of it as humanly possible just to make everybody happy and then promptly return to not thinking when everyone is not looking. I find I conserve quite a bit of energy that way.
I love thinking! I love researching. I love watching educational videos and documentaries. I love learning. I have a very intellectual mind and I love it. I just have to be careful not to fall into negative thinking. That is not a part of thinking that I care for.
I absolutely looooove thinking. I like to see myself as a pensive thinker. People like me venture so deeply into their thoughts that they may seem completely detached to the world.
Another aspect of it is observation. I like to observe people and see them for what they truly are not what they pretend themselves to be. It’s fun. I recommend everyone to try it. It gives you an insight in someone else’s life.
Thinking is quite like a double edge sword, depending on your mindset & environment your thoughts can devour you or they can help you Relive stress. So most of the time I enjoy pondering about things.
It depends on the subject. If it is of interest to me, I do like to think about it. Otherwise, I just get by with 'a necessary and sufficient enough' minimum of thinking.
What type of Thinking do you like?
There are several reasons for thinking:
- the first one is to assess something from a purely intuitive picture to a more refined one by a 'circular' thinking attack utilizing imagination, synthesis, and logic;
- the second one is a decision making process - it is similar to the first one but requires thorough analyses of repercussions and ramifications of the decision made.
How do you think about the Future of our Earth?
The non-reconcilable contradictions and threats are growing, while resources are shrinking. The human civilization needs a plan B to survive. Let the Earth be the 'parents' house', though it is time to move towards colonizing the close space planets. It should be a goal for the centuries (or millenniums) to come.
We have no choice but to think. Before any movement or progress is made daily, it would have been thought of.
Personally, I like to and train my mind to think positively. I have an understanding that we attract what we think of.
In spite of all the challenges and political situation world wide, I still believe that there will always be great people doing great things around the world, thus having a great planet-earth.
Thinking is the only key to future innovations, R&D.
Only time once I don't think is sleeping time. But that time is also utilized for future dreams, which becomes motivators and drivers for day time action time through thinking process to convert such dreams into reality
Normally I like thinking. Long and deep, about almost everythimg, from what shall I make for dinner, a thought process that can take a long time, up to string theory or what is consciousness.
My pleasure in thinking gets taken away by compulsory thoughts. It is a too clear sign of my depression coming back. Thoughts then become weird amd compulsory for days, or weeks,on end. There is no escaping it, and they can be about anything. Currently they are about an ex, safely married with two daughters, and how she is doing. Anytime I am somewhat thoughtfree they come, and clutter up my life big time.
So, yes, I like thinking, as long as they are free, not compulsory
I try to do only the bare minimum of it as humanly possible just to make everybody happy and then promptly return to not thinking when everyone is not looking. I find I conserve quite a bit of energy that way.
Which basically means that I am thinking, I am actively processing information, therefore, in conclusion, I exist. The world may be a Matrix-like simulation, and I may be just a brain in a vat being kept alive by a supercomputer, but I, in whatever state or form, exist.
That is why I like thinking. Because it means I exist. I am me. And there is no one else like me.
Thinking is an activity of our brain to observe, investigate and solve with reason, challenges , problems of life, science and anything in between and outside in our universe. The effectiveness and longevity of a solution to a problem are dependent up on the proper and complete understanding of the parameters upon which the problem depends.
I think you are a humanitarian leader person who always think about solving other and environmental thinker and leader , as far as I follow all your answers and projects!
Thinking is the way of life even a child in a crying or in a smiling process is also related to thinking . Thinking remains the part of action of every human beings &his thinking depends on his positive & negative traits which may help him to take the action of his life .
When I saw the sun ray reflect off the back side of 'The Thinker' in an outdoor garden of an art museum in Paris I thought, 'Why is a Rodan bronze sitting outside?' But I realized that I do like to think outside about many things--personal goals, the way I should start the first paragraph of a manuscript, where I could find specific information, and how well my Commander Lillies are doing in the back yard. I try to focus on today but admit to considering the future of the earth. My current book reflects the need to consider more than one aspect of the future of earth including policy, environmental conditions, and people---both their contribution to and impact on the health of the public. Notwithstanding my personal religious beliefs, I think that we see evidence of dishonor in the land--behavior that reflects selfishness and greed, and lack of personal responsibility. We want peace but we want our definition of peace to the exclusion of all others. This is not peace by tyranny. Some blame nations like the US and others blame ambition, political factions, and a desire to regain former glory or to establish new glory. Some want the US to save the world while hating the mechanisms they deploy to do so. Too many want their cake and eat it, too. None of it will achieve healing of the land, spirit, and body of the people who occupy earth. As long as there are individuals who strive for what is right then we have hope. If not in this life then perhaps the next. This is also something that I think about quite a bit. The great irony is that you cannot be inclusive and do the right thing. The truth can be very exclusive. Something readers may also consider pondering.
Life is a chain of neutral events. And it depends on us what color we will color them.
And you know that you can influence the process of your thinking if you follow this formula:
1. I can control my thoughts.
2. My feelings are generated by thoughts.
3. Therefore, I can control my feelings by controlling thoughts.
And this means that you can bring up a new habit - positive thinking. If you begin to change your thinking step by step, then your feelings will begin to change naturally.
Positive thinking is the first step towards achieving success, which is the effective habits and behaviors acquired by the society surrounding the individual. Positive thinking helps the individual to cope with his or her problems with patience and challenge and helps him to find sound and quick solutions to the problem. , Self-satisfaction, happiness and reassurance, and everyone has a problem of negative thinking. There are a number of ways that will help you get rid of negative thinking and make your thinking rise to positive thinking.
The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Scientists differed in interpreting the meaning of thinking. Some thought it was a series of brain activities, others thought it was a series of mental activities in the brain in order to make a decision or to find a solution to a problem .
