in interpersonal metafunction of Systemic Functional Grammar of Hallidayan approach mood and modality are central to judge the attitude of speaker and narrator in proposition or proposal. I need some help and material by this model.
Thank you Sharon Primerano for responses. I am working on linguistic features to see how the use of Mood and Modality can shape the identity of narrator/chratcters/writers.
I have written about moral stance-taking through the use of modality in Sakapultek (papers are uploaded here, I believe).
I think it is best to get Halliday's Functional Grammar and study it well, especially the part for Mode element and probably you'll find your answer.
