I'll start a new project. The rate of mineralization of the herbicide glyphosate (radiolabeled, 14-C) and the soil microbial community capable of mineralizing this herbicide will be evaluated. To verify the presence of the genes involved in the biodegradation of glyphosate in the environment, the quantitative PCR technique (q-PCR) will be used, however, I need to know the sequence of the primers and determine the conditions of the PCR reactions. Subsequently, I can use the primers as phylogenetic markers to predict only microbial groups directly involved in the glyphosate mineralization.
