As I know there are particular DNA sequences that mediate efficient import of plasmids in into the nucleus, for example, cPPT sequence of the lentiviral vectors (one of its functions is stimulating nuclear import) or SV40 promoter/enhancer. Do you know which one is more efficient and uses cellular not viral proteins for nuclear transport? May be you know other DNA sequences that mediates efficient nuclear transport?
