From antiquity, one of the first fundamental areas of the development of thoughts and considerations being precursory trends for the subsequent development of specific fields of science was logic and philosophy. Analysis of the development of various directions, theories, concepts, trends, and philosophical schools in the context of the history of philosophical thought can also provide inspiration for contemporary considerations over specific guesses, the search for solutions to complex problems, and the planning of complex research processes.
Many philosophical concepts and trends from the past, formulated in other epochs, are in principle still valid despite the technical, technological and civilization progress made. I believe that many philosophical concepts and trends from the past concerning the role of man in the surrounding world, in relations with the environment, including the social and natural environment, man as part of nature in a sustainable ecosystem, etc. is still valid. Human life has changed due to technological and civilization progress. The current technological revolution, known as Industry 4.0, could, however, change human life in highly developed countries so far that these may be already noticeable in contemporary trends and philosophical concepts concerning antrolope, social issues, etc.
On the other hand, modern philosophical concepts can also describe the role of science in the 21st century in the context of successively growing global social, climate and natural and economic problems.
In view of the above, the current question is: Do you know any theories or directions of philosophical thought that inspire you to carry out scientific research?

It is a good question that seems would not arise without the thought that "science" is somehow separate - shame that Latin is thought to be old-fashioned. What the Greeks called episteme, the Latins called scientia - but we treat these as two different disciplines: Epistemology and Science. Both (despite modernist shifting) mean simply "Knowledge". Whatever semantic shading may have occurred, they are not different.
Of course there is also the "love of wisdom" - meaning the application of knowledge, experience, and sound judgement - that we think of as obscure dusty tomes written by Golden Age Hellenes and Enlightenment Germans or Irishmen.
Perhaps Newton did a disservice with his quantization of natural philosophy (Principia Mathematica Philosophiae Naturalis) as he seems to have given the ideal that only that reduced to an equation is "science".
The concepts of Results-Replication, Isolation and testing of a key variable, and even peer-review are inescapably qualitative philosophical propositions - including the thought that mathematics is a superior tool (as opposed to a simple language or phenomena)
The answer I suppose is that "science" as we call it is a tiny part of Philosophy - they are not separate in the least.
For me, this references the curious compulsion of curiosity. It is no more sophisticated that that - I seek because I am compelled to seek, and where this leads is purely incidental.
I don't suppose it is "inspiration" at all, unless I resort to a theological explanation - a theistic teleology so to speak.

Yes the Theory of the 6 Main Levels of Consciousness (S. Arka). My PhD thesis is based on this as are many of my publications.
In the field of human consciousness I sincerely feel it is only theories based on the “inside out” perspective that can really inform us about the nature of consciousness. Of course these theories then need to be tested ...both through the repeatable experiences of others and also scientifally. That would be the most complete way to validate the theory.

In my opinion, the logic of reflection with its four-dimensional sign (constitution of an object, individual, interaction and modification of sense) can structure all sciences which have to do with human processes of sense (that means, with action and interaction) – and not only the theory of scientific music pedagogy which I am developing at the time being (cf. Philosophy of Music Education Review, Spring 2018, free download). 'To structure‘ also means to structure research designs and to observe desiderata of research.
