I tried to isolate phages from nasal swab using the Kropinsky´s 2009 protocol with LB + CaCl2 and using the strain RN4220 host. You know others protocols for this purpose.
It is very common method and you will get several people working on this. Put your question in PubMed and see how many hits you get. The technique is very commonly used in most public health labs as a too of phage typing.
