I think you can collect some speech data, then transcribe them and do some speech or conversation analysis.

For instance, if you are using a survey research method, the interview and questionnaire will be the proper candidates. However, if you are conducting an interaction based research, you should use picture description , consensus, or conscientiousness raising tasks.

I am so excited to read and learn a new topic.

 For my dissertation research, I did  quantitative action research study.  It took me five weeks for my intervention to take place.  I sent out a pre survey and a post survey in which I used the Survey Monkey for data collection.  I found it most effective.  Also, I used the Wilcoxon Rank Test for analysis.  I hope this helps.
