To get a good answer, your question needs to be a little more specific. For example the gas type (CH4, CO2, N2), rock type (Carbonate/Sandstone) and reservoir fluid (gas/black oil/condensate) all play a major role in determining which flooding fluid will be more efficient. I assume the efficiency you mean is based on the production rate against time (not cost).
I would recommend reading some good review articles. Kindly find attached some artricles that may be of interest. Kindly read and cite as appropriate.
