Does anyone know if literature, if any, that exists on the ecology of Lantana indica L.? The articles I have found are on its chemical constitutional analyses. I am unable to find any paper dealing with its ecology.
I was intrigued by this question ans so I did a Google Scholar search and found the same. There are a few papers which mention L. indica in an ecological context, but I found nothing focused on it specifically. The following is a typical example of what can be found: "Lantana indica completely suppressed the growth of grass and herb species", in:
"Despite the caveats, congeneric comparisons may provide circumstantial evidence for allelopathy in exotic invasions as they have for natural enemies. As described above, the Indian native Prosopis cineraria does not demonstrate allelopathic effects but the invasive P. juliflora does. Similarly, Lantana camara is a problematic exotic invasive throughout Asia and there is evidence for it having allelopathic effects, but the native Lantana indica (there is some disagreement about its origin, C.R. Babu, personal communication) does not have unusually strong effects on native species in India."
Given that little has been published, perhaps you can do some field research and gather together the various scraps of informaiton that have been published, and then publish your own findings together with an analysis of the previously-published scraps.
Thank you Sir! I am trying to gather information about the same but was unable to find any thing relevant...Will go through the references suggested...!
There is no difference in the ecology of L. camara and indica.
My personal observation is that both coexit in same environment and under similar biogeochemical conditions. However, L. camara is dominating with L. indica in feeble presence.
However, You can search for Indian Journals for that.
For example Current science, Indian Forester, Tropical Ecology, Annals of forestry and Indian Journal of Forestry
In, a lot of ecological studies for forests types and vegetation layers you can find information about Lantana indica.
There is a review about Lantana available in Current Science., published in 2009 by Amit et al.
And review about L. camara is available in 2014 issue of Indian forester.
another review about Lantana sp. is available in Weed Biology and Management, 2005 by Sharma, et al.
Also follow this (though its about L. camara)

Hi, i wrote some informations about Lanata camara L. as follows, but i haven't written all of them. please read and let me know if you need all or if they are useful for you, i will write all for you then.
the height of this plant is 2 meters or more. its leaves are egged shaped, the colour of the flowers are various. the height of the petals are 6-12 mm and etc.
