Many authors consider physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics as the ONLY basic sciences. The underlying belief is that all phenomena could be explained using the knowledge in these disciplines. However, social, psychological and economic phenomena CANNOT be explained only with a knowledge in physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. As such, should we consider social science, psychology and economics as basic sciences too?
