Preprint Tensions Involving RPC
At present, the following disputes are attracting the attention of the media and analysts of international political conjuncture:
1 - The reintegration into the territory of the PRC or definitive independence of Taiwan, which Beijing calls the "rebel province of Taiwan";
2- Increased political tension involving Japan and PRC; and
3 - Economic disputes within the framework of the World Trade Organization, involving the USA and PRC.
4 - In addition to the above, it is noted that, at the present time, there are also no news of relevant tensions involving the PRC and the nations that in Asia hold nuclear artefacts, namely Russia, India, Pakistan and North Korea.
Chinese diplomacy is extremely skilful and calculating. Once the historical, geographical, social, political and economic aspects of the PRC are addressed, the time has come to know and analise the national interests of the PRC.
Not a large one. Dictatorships tend to be cautious (Hitler aside) as those who run them have more to lose. The Chinese are practical and probably will employ tactical threats when and if necessary, against those they do not fear. They can achieve their aims through other means.
The military strategy of the PRC is defensive; such an armed conflict is only likely in nearby territory, to ensure the integrity of the PRC.
They have nothing to gain with arms. Trade is their motto and they don't want Trump-style trade wars either. They have a longer experience than newer, immature nations like the USA.
Nothing is, in my opinion, guaranteed or predictable about the involvement in the eruption of war of any country in the world. But we hope that peace and stability will prevail in the whole world.
China has ever been involved in territory conflicts with Vietnam and Philippines. You never know anything, territory boundary conflict may tempt China into armed conflicts.
China knows how to defend it by influencing other rather than arm conflict
Political prognoses have their attraction - as does the question posed here - but there are too many imponderables. If strong interests are at stake, China will not hesitate to add military means in a limited situation. This is, of course, easiest when there is little danger of foreign policy opponents posing a threat. China has Tibet under ideological control as well as military control. But if the People's Republic were to do the same with Taiwan, an international centre of conflict would be created that would immediately include the USA and Russia in the scenario of mutual threats. The People's Republic has not abandoned its fundamental claim, but it will probably have to wait a long time to venture into Taiwan.

Of course there is a difference whether one tries to expand one's own sphere of power and domination in a favourable moment through an intervention or whether one is "drawn" into it! into a conflict without having an interest in military confrontation. I assume that China acts rationally and deliberately in its foreign policy. In the current construction and restructuring of the state, China does not need any further or stronger foreign policy conflict.
At first, China will not set war on it.
Because China absolutely will not lose the game.
If it becomes a losing battle, it will be occupied again and the dream of 'great reconstruction of the Chinese nation' will collapse.
At second, the people of various strata who are dissatisfied with the Chinese government so far caused a riot, inviting destabilization of society if we do war and so on.
Probably they will choose the way to democratization at once. Beyond that, the Chinese government will have to focus on domestic.
As a result, suffering from foreign and internal illness, the control system of the Chinese Communist Party will collapse.
Such a dangerous choice is impossible in China, where "maintaining the Communist Party's control system" as its top priority.
Respected sir Artur, excellent paper; now the answer, China will easily be involved in armed conflict, but he is just waiting for the right time, and adequate preparation; for me, China is our brotherly...... Nation, but impressively, China has never condemned Muslims genocide in Myanmar, what China is doing with oghur Muslims,..... you see brotherly relationship are not by choice. So, China is the ,most focused, most determined, most unforgiving nation on this planet and China feels that what they are trying to achieve, no one knows....that is not the case, and yes...China can easily initiate, war whenever ,,,he will feel ready.
Nazia Asad I agree with you but another question: China always took care of North Korea as a little brother. Why at a time China agreed with USA and was aggressive with NK stopping many NK projects? I am suspicious of aliances or friendship when comes the own national interest! ...
China‘s approach seems to be domination through global economic dominance, as world‘s super powers have accumulated Chinese debt. Imperialism is the Chinese policy. The history of armed conflict around the globe has only one lesson: avoid armed conflict for the sake of humanity. China as a nation has evolved through resolve and hard work. They will not initiate armed conflict.
Politicized brotherly and friendly relationships are different names, but base is same, not by choice; but, only, contingency based; and ...we have to mask many things to protect our very own best interests....
Never use the word "never". In the life of a nation, there may come a time when a country defends its self interest or seek to conquer weaker nations for securing natural resources.
Yes, I think we hope that all. But not only the political system plays a role for some risky situations, also it undesired developments depend on political leaders and running political conflicts and the interests of the leading nations in the world.
Why destroy a city when you can buy it at a discount? Here in southern Africa, Chinese business and government enterprises are investng heavily and winning control of whole towns. Last week I was in one in Swaziland where you hardly see a Chinese person but they own 70% of the businesses.
Countries with economic oriented foreign policy are less likely to engage in an armed conflict because instability is not conducive for economic diplomacy
Do not confuse defense of rights, or national sovereignty with an armed conflict. I do not think it is in the interests of China to initiate or participate in a war, unless the aggression demands it .....
War is destructive to countries involved in it. Let's hope that peace and stability prevail in all countries of the world and there will be no need for any armed conflict among countries.
As it usually occurs in (almost) all branches of Social Sciences it is impossible to accurately predict the future. At best we can only aim to give a general observation regarding the near future in the shape of an informed "guesstimate". With that being said, a recent report by RAND Corporation I read a few weeks ago made me worry. According to the authors the US is seeking to field several IRBM (Intermediate range ballistic missiles) and other long-range stand-off weapons in order to counter a similiar build-up by the chinese in Japan and perhaps Taiwan or Korea. In that sense, the placing of such systems in order to constrain the PLA Navy would also narrow even more the already tight area in which chinese ships are meant to maneuver. That means they can use relatively less ships to defend Japan and contain the PLAN while employing the rest of its surface and submarine forces to cut the SLOC Beijing uses in the South China Sea to sustain its economy. Given that the US Navy is redeploying a sizeable portion of its assets to that area so as to complete the "US Pivot", including two-thirds of its aircraft carrier fleet, such move raises the stakes significantly, giving China futher incentives to strike first while it maintains a relative numerical advantage in order to clear the area of US ships.

Dear Mister Artur Victoria ,Conflicts arise are usually preceded by a dispute, if the dispute is not mediated by a given country or by the United Nations, it will be continued into armed conflict. If the dispute can be mediated, and involved a dispute can be restrained, the possibility of armed conflict is not likely to occur. China is one of the advanced countries in the Asian region, will not be so easy to engage conflict as long as there is still a way to escape. Armed conflict is like committing suicide together.
Some people are only interested in sex, for them it would be annoying if they had to surrender to love as well.
