While, there is another opinion that Turkish business leaders believe that an Iran unbound by such restrictions would become a rapidly growing export market for Turkish goods and services as well as a fertile field for investment. According to an industrialist familiar with Turkey’s economic relations with Iran, an end to the sanctions regime could open the way for exports of Turkish goods and services to Iran worth more than $90 billion in the medium term. Additionally, the ability to import more of its energy from Iran would reduce some of the squeeze of Turkey’s current dependence on Russia, especially in the gas sector.
"Playing" is a relative term here, but we live in a Global economy and the U.S. is definitely one of the big players, so indirectly it is a possibility.

The USA absolutely can play with the economy of any country. Not just Turkey and Iran. Consider to what is happening to China the second largest economy in the world.
It can be clearly seen that the US have ability to effect on other countries economy and they can play a big role in affecting Turkish and Iranian economy.

Overproduction of certain products leads to fight for markets and protectionist measures against dumping them into other markets. In the period of the cold war, it was easy to preach free markets, but today the rules of the game have changed, e.g. nationalism and capitalism do not easily fit together. However, short-term measures can come at cost of unwanted geo-political consequences as the heartland theory (pdf) suggests. Here is no playing at all at work, but strategic intelligence or a lack of it.
Yes, I started playing the economy of these two countries (Iran and Turkey).
Under Trump America is interfering in all aspects of trade and social issues is destroying many years of hard fought peace since the end of World War 1
and 2. Since then United Nations, NATO, World Bank, WTO etc have in their own way created an international set of standards that, although influenced by the big countries, still allows for discipline, control and compliance that should apply to all nations. Now America under Trump is setting its own agenda where the Stock Exchanges are the key indicators.
People are more important than money that is in the hands of very few.
My view is that China is showing how it should be done and USA how it should not be done. The Trade War may well trigger a more catastrophic war so beware. Turkey and Iran are pawns in the game US and others are playing dangerously. Pray for Peace through Friendship.

Dear Asaad Ali Karam - The USA economy is the largest in the world despite the fact that the USA population is less than 20% that of China. The tariffs wars that Trump is pursuing with China, Europe, Canada, Mexico don't seem to negatively impact the USA economy which is booming with historical low unemployment and a high growth rate! I am not sure this will continue in the long term.
I think yes, it already impacts Iran economy and will affect Turkey as well. I can't see any mutual or collective deterrent measures to avoid it, even if it is the case, it would be difficult to take it serious.

We can say that Yes US can try to play with economy of Turkey and partly can do some damage like recent conflicts and results. But i think Turkey has a different social, historical and political characteristic then its neighbours like Syria and Iraq (even Iran). On the other hand Turkey's geopolitical and strategical position (including Turkey is one of the most important allies of US in middle east) will obstruct US to play hard. So US's economic plans will not give the same effect.
