In my opinion an intelligent student will do it and express her/his corrections and/or comments in a polite way and giving enough time for any further correction to the lecturer, especially as a comment when the lecturer reaches the certain points and asks for any questions and comments. Generally I think any sort of corrections are acceptable, as long as it would be expressed in a proper and polite manner and indeed better to be done at the proper time.
I squarely appreciate the students he/she notify me or correcting me when i miss my lecture. It is a place where knowledge transfer between human minds and brains. Here no point of EGO. Allow the student to feel free to come forward with their thought. This is the time the student will start thinking. until he just trained for absorbing everything what we preach. But this one way input system shd be avoided. i am not hurting any teacher even then i too a Associate professor. Cool.
The healthy situation that allow the students to contribute in the lecture and discuss the confused points and may be do correction for some information.
Both of you are very true and I appreciate your opinion and really increased the information and usefulness of you I think there are some of the training in my university does not allow students to correct
Yes, an intelligent and observant student is apt to point out a mistake that the lecturer has made. A gracious lecturer should accept it politely, thank the student and proceed, being careful not to make mistakes again, if at all possible. Of course there are these "smart" ones that ask questions for the sake of asking, who otherwise do not participate or learn and are basically trouble makers. Watch out for them and handle them diligently.
Yes, but provided that the correction is fully scientific, because the correction by the student means that he follows the scientific material, and loves the lecture, and his mind develops scientifically.
I do not mind this provided that is done in proper scientific and polite manner as it shows that these intelligent students are following your lecture and not sleepy.
Of course, if a mistake or a defect in my lecture, a student can warn me or correct me. It will be appropriate to implement positive communication rules at this stage.
