To be frank, surgeons will have to adapt to the changing Medical need in the field of cardiovascular disease. Over Time with the rise of minimal invasive approaches for Not only complex coronary interventions (CHIP) But also Struktural interventions they can either adapt or Decrease their workload. Certainly as machines like LVAD ans TAH are on the rise I do not See them fade away in near Future.
I don't think that it is fading away. Still there are total occlusions and lesions that cannot be stunted that require to undergo CABG. I think that CT surgery needs to adapt with using new and noninva procedures. For example TAVR is a great example of such chanhes
There will, over time be more interventional endovascular procedures, and less invasive procedures, as has already happened with open vascular surgery.
