Hello all,

I have a point to share you. Young academicians want to publish articles as fast as possible for the sake of academic promotion. We constantly search where my article can be published soon. We ask colleagues and friends, BUT not our professors as we know he/she will suggest you to publish in a reputable journal.

Universities have their journals. Some of these journals are at the very start, new volume. More likely, the reviewers, editors and chiefs may be as fresh as me? They may hold the academic rank by publishing in these journals. Indeed, the chief may forward for a reviewer whom he/she knows before, in the same scientific network. Who knows I, the less experienced researcher, may be contacted for this case. We are encouraged to publish in these journals. We observe that a number of articles are being published there, and these articles are used for academic promotion (to the level of assistant & associate professorship).

Here I come to my question:

Do these journals with the above conditions belong to a non-predatory column? Can I publish there for promotion?

Am eager to receive diverse points from you guys. Share me your advice. Let us discuss for a better science!

With very kind regards,

Hailemariam
