I'm modeling CA rice production and the model shows massive organic matter losses following tillage operations. While this response makes sense, I would like my model to reflect the conditions of a rice field that has been operational for many years and I'm concerned that this strong response may be the result of a lack of ability to model field history/ past tillage operations. I'm inclined to think that if you till annually, OM losses would decline and/or stabilize after multiple years. I'm struggling to find an answer as to whether that is true and/or the extent to which that holds.
