Yes, many scientists and professionals have spiritual and religious beliefs that include communication (not just voices, but also not necessarily excluding voices) with God. This may take place through reading religious texts, prayer, meditation, communion with other believers, nature, service to others, excellence in endeavour dedicated to honouring God, math, music, art, study and stillness... each has a quality of communication with the Divine.

Science and meta-physics do not mix well. Science aims to explain the natural world, metaphysics the spiritual world. This is why Science cannot confirm/deny the existence of God. It takes belief to accept God. However, the reality of science also speaks of free will, since God does not force himself on anyone. If you believe then you can communicate and God can communicate to you. In conclusion, Science plays a valuable role, but so does metaphysics.

As Gregory C Mclaughlin rightly pointed out that science and meta-physics do not mix well. The reason lies in their differing paradigms. The difficulty with the science or scientist to accept the reality of God is their Paradigm. They believe in what is obvious and what is visible to the five senses. Whereas, In order to understand and communicate with the supreme reality, one needs to go beyond the five senses. Also, you need to accept and have a firm belief in the existence of supreme reality in order to get benefit from the spiritual techniques.

While science is about - "First see then believe, spirituality is about - first believe then see". So yes, if a scientist have faith in God, he can find ways to communicate with God.
