Hi! I am checking the structural integrity of an existing trussed tower ( 17m high ) using SAP2000. I found out that the main angle bars used are not within the provision for seismically compact section ( aisc 341-10 ). But since trussed towers are considered as non-building structures, i am thinking if I still need to comply with this specific requirement. As far as I know, seismically compact section shall be complied if you have moment resisting frame.

My question is do I still need to comply with this provision ? The tower has been standing for more than 15 years and in terms of strength, the sections are still large enough. Its distance to the nearest fault line is around 13 km.
