I believe that to simulate the contact between the slab and beam in Abaqus, you can utilize the surface-to-surface contact capability. This involves creating separate parts for the slab and beam, meshing them appropriately, and combining them into a single assembly. You will define a contact property to specify the behavior at the contact interface and assign surface properties to the contact surfaces on the slab and beam. Then a contact pair is then defined, including the contact surfaces, interaction behavior, and properties.

This contact pair is included in a contact interaction module, where analysis settings and constraints are applied.
